ARTISTS IN CHAPEL

During the Summer Term, students from Year 10 drew in the Chapel; in timed conditions - between 10-20 minutes – some students drew in response to an artist’s style – Laura Oldfield-Ford – and some in their own personal style. Capturing beautiful elements of the Chapel, Reverend Kate chose six of her favourite drawings which are going to be made into notelets:

1. Lola S (10H) inspired by Chapel services, created in the style of artist Oldfield-Ford
2. Reya A (10W) inspired by Chapel adornment, created in the style of artist Oldfield-Ford
3. Camilla T (10W) - inspired by Chapel music, created in the style of artist Oldfield-Ford
4. Camilla T(2) (10W) - a quick sketch, inspired by Chapel clerestory windows
5. Jemima T (10H) - inspired by The Lord’s Prayer, created in the style of artist Oldfield-Ford
6. Talya R (10N) - a quick sketch, inspired by the entrance to Chapel

Reverend Kate was moved to see how the Chapel is seen by others and is extremely thankful to Mrs Sheehan for bringing students into the Chapel to draw.

At the conclusion of our assembly on Monday, Reverend Kate sent us on our way for the summer break by praying a blessing over us for the whole Queenswood community:

May the Lord bless you and watch over you.
May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord look kindly on you and give you peace.
