This week Year 13 went to Juniper Hall in Dorking, Surrey to delve deeper into their required practical work and expand their knowledge.

It was exciting to see all the different ways of studying so many different organisms whilst being in a new environment. We were able to do mark release recapture on snails, catch mice, and see how woodlice respond to their environment, all with ethical practices.

It was especially exciting to study in the biodiverse area of Boxhill with so many protected and rare species. Overall, it was a fun, tiring three days which allowed us to develop our outdoor practical skills and conquer fears that we may have had.
