This April I will be taking on the London Marathon and with the event less than 90 days away, my preparations are well underway. I will be running on behalf of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice who Queenswood have supported for a number of years.

I was fortunate enough to visit the Ark and tour their facilities in December. This highlighted the impact that our vital fundraising has been in supporting children and their families at the most difficult of times.

The Marathon will be the final challenge in my quest for the London Classics medal, having completed RideLondon and the Serpentine Swim already. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to mix personal achievement with fundraising for an amazing charity.  If you would like to support my Marathon challenge, please visit my fundraising page here. Year 7 and Year 8 will also be completing their own challenge this April, taking on the ‘Mini-Marathon’. They will all receive official Mini-Marathon running bibs, and a certificate upon completion of the event. The students will be encouraged to collect sponsorship in support of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. More details of this will follow from Reverend Kate Douglas in the near future.
