Queenswood Musician of the Year 2025: The Results

The final of the Queenswood Musician of the Year competition, held in the Ernest Read Hall on Thursday 6 March, was a glorious celebration of the many diverse talents of our instrumentalists and soloists.
24 finalists performed on the night - a record in the history of the competition. Prizes were awarded for the best vocalists and instrumentalists in both the Lower and Upper School, as well as to the two overall winners.

Our adjudicator was Dave Land. Dave is an accomplished trumpet and cornet player with over 35 years of experience, performing worldwide with leading Pop and Motown artists and contributing to more than 170 albums, including numerous Gold, Silver, and Platinum recordings. A former solo trumpeter for the Band of HM Coldstream Guards, he has also had a prolific career in London’s West End, most notably spending 16 years with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express, while continuing to record, tour, and support emerging artists globally.
