Our school community has been profoundly moved by the situation in Ukraine, and we have been considering ways in which we can support the humanitarian aid effort.

On Wednesday 9 March, there will be a van in the main school car park, ready to receive donations of specific items.

If you would like to donate, we are asking for hygiene products: shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash and deodorant, ladies personal hygiene. Foldable beds, mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets, bath robes, towels. Many refugees are sleeping on floors in churches and schools, so these items are particularly in need as the weather is turning bitterly cold. Also, baby food (not in glass jars) nappies and baby wipes are urgently needed. 

These will then be driven to Westminster Lodge in St Albans, and loaded onto a 22 tonne HGV bound for Romania. From there the goods will be transferred to minibuses which will then move onto Ukraine with the humanitarian support.
