Weekends at Queenswood

The girls may have a busy week at Queenswood, but there is plenty on offer at the weekend too.

Day girls and boarders alike are welcome to take part in our regular trips to London, Oxford, Brighton and other places of interest, meals out at local restaurants and a wide range of on-site activities.

Pupils for whom English is a second language also benefit from weekend sessions with our resident EAL tutors, focusing on cultural knowledge and building vocabulary.

We recognise the need for ‘down time’ so there may be weekends when girls would rather not take part in trips but spend time at school catching up with study or spending time with friends. Our grounds are expansive and beautiful so there is plenty of opportunity for a Sunday afternoon stroll or a game of quick cricket on the lawn with friends.
