The finalists of Queenswood’s Musician of the Year competition treated us to a joyous evening of music-making in the Ernest Read Hall on Wednesday 18 May.

Within each of the three categories – Lower School, Middle/Upper School, and Scholars and Principal’s Award Holders – the standard of performance was very impressive, and there was a wide range of instruments and genres represented.

Our adjudicator – composer, presenter and celebrated musical animateur Rachel Leach –  faced a very difficult task in selecting an overall winner. The final results were as follows:
