Thanksgiving is a traditional holiday celebrated primarily in the US and Canada, which has its historical roots in the early 17th century when Pilgrims and Native Americans came together for a harvest feast. Today, Thanksgiving is a time for people to come together to give thanks for the blessings in their lives.

On Thursday 23 November, students and staff at Queenswood marked this special day with a sumptous Thanksgiving lunch, provided by our wonderful Catering Team. We enjoyed roast turkey with cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and the jewel in the crown - candied sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows!

Enjoying this most delicious feast with friends was not only great fun, but it also provided an oppotunity to reflect and give thanks for how fortunate we are.
