We are thrilled that Scarlet Gerry-Churchhouse, a Year 7 student at Queenswood, has been offered the part of Tessie in a major nationwide tour of the musical Annie. She will also be the understudy for the title role.

The show opens at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle on 11 July, before touring the UK. Performances will also take place in Monaco.

It is by no means Scarlet’s first experience of the limelight. She appeared in Les Miserables in the West End in 2012, and was also featured in the CBBC documentary Finding Princess Fiona in 2011.
