Hockey Scholar Alice Wills (Lower Sixth) has received yet another accolade. The Old Loughtonians mid-fielder and England international, who captained the national squad against Belgium and scored against Germany at the Four Nations Tournament in 2013, has been named Hockey Writers’ Club 16-and-Under Player of the Year.
Her team-mate Megan Crowson (Upper Sixth) was placed third in the 18-and-Under category.
Alice received her certificate and cheque at the Awards function, sponsored by Higgins Group plc, at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge on 21 January.
We are immensely proud of Alice’s achievements, and wish her and the rest of the First XI the best of luck as they prepare for the National Finals at the end of February.
