Awe-inspiring performances at the Queenswood Musician of the Year 2016
Friday 18 March 2016
Our esteemed adjudicator, Douglas Wilkie, had the most unenviable task of deciding an overall winner on a night of exceptional music-making in the Ernest Read Hall.
For the first time, the Musician of the Year Competition was divided into three categories, which allowed for more girls than ever to showcase their talents.
The eventual winners were:
- Lower School
Commended: Tomike Olukkani
Highly Commended: Alina Gower
Winner: Tehya Dawson - Middle School
Highly Commended: Colette Bacon
Winner: Lily Harwood - Upper School
Highly Commended: Eleanor Grant
Winner: Tiffany Kwong - Queenswood Musician of the Year 2016: Daniella Rocca
Many congratulations to all girls who took part in the finals and the qualifying rounds, and thanks to Mr Dobson, Mr Shaw, Mr Kokkinos, Ms Paris, Mr Newport for their accompaniment and organisation, and especially to adjudicator Douglas Wilkie.
