We are thrilled for Bethany N (Year 10) and her Great Britain team-mates, who have won the gold medal in the International Shooting Sports Federation Junior World Cup!

Pine trees and clear skies provided the backdrop for the prestigious ISSF competition in Suhl, Germany last week.

The Junior Women’s Olympic Skeet team event was contested by some of the top junior teams from around the world – Slovakia, India, Germany, Italy, United States and Great Britain.

Bethany and her team mates dug deep to post an amazing 195 in qualification – just beating India by 1 target for a place in the gold medal match.

The bronze match was contested first with India shooting brilliantly to lift the bronze from Germany.

And then the nail biting gold medal match. The GB team showed real determination while giving a masterclass in reverse pairs! The Slovakian team quickly fell behind and were unable to catch the rampaging GB team.

After 4 stands of pairs, the match was decided - the GB team won gold with a massive 7-1 win over Slovakia.

Bethany was the youngest female competitor and it was her first international competition.
