Bim Afolami MP (Hitchin and Harpenden) spoke to Queenswood's Sixth Form on Friday 4 October, as part of our General Studies lecture series. He gave a frank analysis of the state of British politics, and explained how the practicalities of parliamentary business mean that politicians have to make unpalatable compromises.

There were a great number of questions from the floor. Brexit, of course, loomed large in the conversation, but other topics covered included free speech, 'no-platforming' and private education.
