For Black History Month, students were set an art brief to respond to the work of the Nigerian artist Jacqueline Suowari who uses fabrics, patterns and ink pen in her work to create intricately detailed portraits. Students were asked to create a piece of work in the style or technique of Suowari celebrating their own cultures.

The work submitted displayed the rich, diverse culture we have at Queenswood with beautifully considered compositions and application of media. Thank you and well done to all who took part. The artwork be will on display in the Library for viewing.
