IVANNA V, YEAR 12

Year 12 students Maria-Giulia B, Ivanna V, and Emily Z were awarded a gold award for their work in a group project within the BPhO (British Physics Olympiad) Experimental Project, investigating the motion of the slinky under gravity.

Their research spanned from October to February, where the girls planned their experiment, in which they recorded the fall of the slinky, collected and processed the data, produced graphs describing the slinky’s motion and drew conclusions.

All three participants note the useful hands-on experience and research skills obtained during working on the project.
