Enrichment Week 2022
Friday 24 June 2022
As another action-packed Queenswood Enrichment Week draws to a close, we bring you a brief video of some of the highlights of the many exciting trips and activities enjoyed by pupils in Years 7–10 and Year 12.
Pupils and staff made the most of a week of glorious sunshine, with activities on Trew Lawn ranging from medieval warfare and chariot racing to physical theatre and Duke of Edinburgh Award preparation.
They learned about ballroom dancing, personal finance, pizza-making, working as a detective in the Met Police, the Mexican customs of El Dia de los Muertos and the traditions and practices of the Hindu faith.
There were lively interactive poetry sessions with local legend Professor Pango Mango, ‘fictional family’ creative writing with bestselling author Penny Joelson, bibliotherapy with Ella Berthoud, an art installation project, Junior Dragons’ Den and Apprentice challenges, performance workshops of Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth...and so much more.
Further afield, there were trips to Brighton, the STEM Discovery Centre, Go Ape, the Freud Museum and Matilda in the West End, to name just a few.
Our Academic Scholars are now busy putting together their reports on the week, which we will bring to you in a future edition of the newsletter.
We’d like to thank every member of staff who helped to make this extraordinary week possible – and especially Mrs Bullock, who co-ordinated the entire programme.
It was a pleasure! Girls seemed so engaged in creating fictional families in my workshop!

I loved it! So lovely to hear the girls enthusing about fiction. And what a beautiful place Queenswood is! Love the Swimming Pool Library too
