On 27 April, Queenswood students assembled in the Chapel to debate the pros and cons of Britain’s potential exit from the European Union.

Students had to research and present the arguments for or against ‘Brexit’ from the point of view of specific groups or political parties – the USA, the CBI, UKIP, the Labour Party, and the two opposed wings of the Conservative Party. After the speeches, there followed a lively and informative debate, with several very intelligent questions from the floor.

A poll was held before and after the debate. The results were as follows:
