Queenswood's fencers have enjoyed remarkable success at regional finals in recent weeks.

At the Eastern Region Youth Championships on 26 January, sisters Kaya, Amber and Natalia Smith all picked up medals, as did Anya Mehta and Amy Heath. All five will now progress to the British Youth Championships in May.

The results from the Eastern Region were as follows:

• Amy Heath – U12 Women’s Sabre – 3rd
• Natalia Smith – U14 Women’s Sabre – 3rd
• Anya Mehta – U16 Women’s Sabre – 3rd
• Amber Smith – U16 Women’s Sabre – 3rd
• Kaya Smith – U18 Women's Sabre – 2nd
