Flexi-boarding Update
Friday 3 December 2021
In light of the recent spread of Covid-19, Mrs Cameron sent the following message to all parents and guardians on Friday 3 December.
Flexi-boarding Temporarily Suspended from Monday 6th December
As part of the continuing issues resulting from the rise in Covid cases among Boarding staff and pupils, I have decided, very reluctantly, to temporarily suspend flexi-boarding for Years 9 and 10 from Monday 6th December. This is until further notice and is likely to last until the end of term. Weekly and full boarding are unaffected.
Transport
Sadly, owing to staff shortages within the Transport department, we are not able to accept any requests for temporary use of our transport service for flexi-boarders. We are really sorry that we cannot accommodate any more girls on school transport at this time. Existing transport arrangements remain unaffected.
Remote Learning
Girls whose parents are unable to make alternative transport arrangements to cover their normal flexi-boarding days will be able to access lessons remotely. Please complete the Google Form here to indicate whether your daughter will be accessing remote learning.
I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this suspension may cause. And I realise how much the girls enjoy flexi-boarding, especially considering how it was unavoidably interrupted earlier this year. The staffing situation has changed rapidly over the past 48 hours and I do hope that you understand that we find ourselves in very exceptional circumstances. We naturally hope to resume normal flexi-boarding very soon. In the meantime, please stay safe.
