French spells success for Year 7 linguists
Tuesday 6 May 2014
The four Year 7 winners of the French Spelling Bee competition were invited to participate to the regional quarter-final in Cambridge on Wednesday 30 April. Meghan Pick, Olivia Pickard, Chloe Cheng and Tamyah
Jones spelt words in French in front of a room full of candidates. The
competition was fierce, but Tamyah made it to the semi-final and
only lost out by two points.
We would like to congratulate all the girls involved, and acknowledge the hard work they put in this year to be able to
master this extremely difficult skill. We will make sure that this
successful competition carries on next year with our new Year7s.
