We were honoured to welcome two of the stars of the GB women’s hockey team to Queenswood on Wednesday, as part of Investec’s outreach programme.

Sarah Robertson (above left) and Laura Unsworth (above right) took time out of their busy schedules in advance of the Tokyo Olympics to coach our Year 7 and Year 8 hockey squads.

After leading training sessions on the Astroturf pitch, Laura and Sarah presented the school with a signed GB hockey vest, and answered girls’ questions in a lively Q&A session in the Pavilion.

Queenswood is one of around a dozen schools in the country to benefit from the Investec scheme, in which international players share their expertise and experience with the next generation of hockey players.

Investec is the principal partner of the England and Great Britain women’s hockey teams, and the sponsor of the Investec Girls’ Schools Championships.
