On the weekend of March 1 and 2, ten gymnasts from Queenswood’s gym squad represented the school at GISGA, held at Kent College Pembury. Saturday was the competition for the Under 13s: Jasmine Steyne, Gabby Murray Panayiotou, Tabby Kenton, Maisy Taylor and Laura McDonagh. Unfortunately Jasmine was too unwell to compete but still supported the team through the whole competition. The gymnasts performed very well, with Gabby coming top of the Queenswood team and placing 22nd out of 78.  

On Sunday the Over 13 team – Rebecca Hurley, Jessica Hurley, Olivia Baines, Eva Mee and Evie Booth – competed. They performed their group routine better than ever, and placed 11th overall. Olivia came 32nd out of 71 gymnasts with the others fairly close behind her.   Overall the standard was extremely high this year.

The weekend was very enjoyable and a great experience, and we cannot wait to compete again next year!
