Year 10 cellist and Music Scholar Kalli Z has her first concert engagement with the National Youth Orchestra at London’s Barbican on Thursday 4 January 2024.

She will be conducted by Sir Mark Elder in NYO Ascent, with a dramatic programme that includes Debussy’s Rondes de Printemps and Richard Strauss’s Alpine Symphony, alongside a new work by Dani Howard.

The concert is free for teenagers to attend.

There will be plenty more opportunities to hear Kalli and the NYO in concert this year, with planned performances at the Royal Festival Hall and the BBC Proms.
