Lower School Singing Competition

Concertgoers were treated to some truly fabulous performances from the girls at the Finals of the Lower School Singing Competition on Wednesday 5 March.
The competition was open to all pupils in Years 7 – 9 and it was wonderful to hear such a variety of songs from our young singers. The Kennedy Hall was packed and the atmosphere was electric as the prize winners were announced – in true X Factor style!
Every girl received a ribbon and chocolate for taking part, to thank them for their hard work and for performing so beautifully.
Jane Roberson, our esteemed adjudicator had the unenviable task of selecting our three prize winners, and was so impressed with the standard of singing, that she decided to awarded eight prizes in total!
The prize winners were as follows:
Winner: Eleanor Grant
Highly Commended: Rachel Poppleton, Anna Rayson, Zainab Mohammed
Commended: Alice Baker, Gabby Mazzoni, Matilda Munyard
Special Award: Jasmine Preko
Congratulations to everyone who took part, to our prize winners and to Eleanor Grant who has won the trophy for the third time – quite an achievement.
