LVI Business Students visit EntrepreneurLIVE
Thursday 17 October 2013
On Tuesday 15 October, Sixth Form Business Students, Miss Hunter
and Mr Bennett attended EntrepreneurLIVE in London where several young
entrepreneurs, such as Jacob Hill, the founder of Lazy Camper, gave
inspirational speeches about the risks and rewards they have experienced in
order to become successful. The speakers were passionate about their businesses
and gave us an insight into the hard work and determination needed to prevent
their businesses failing.
Congratulations go to Angelica Nwosu-Paini who entered a
competition to suggest a new product for Gear to Go that would help to make
their product range less seasonal. She was short-listed and had to present her
idea to the audience of over two hundred. Entries were judged by Kate Castle (the
woman behind Gear to Go), Jacob Hill and a business manager from Natwest. Much
to her surprise she was awarded first place.
Everyone really enjoyed the day and we were grateful to have
the experience of meeting such admirable and inspirational people.
