Queenswood commemorated European Day of Languages on Tuesday.

The fun began in tutorial sessions, as the whole school celebrated with an interactive ‘escape room’ activity. Pupils discussed the importance of learning languages, and completed a quiz to identify greetings and idioms. They had to work together in order to crack the code before the end of the session.

At lunchtime, the dining room was decorated with international flags, and pupils and staff enjoyed a scrumptious meal featuring dishes from around the world, including French coq au vin and Vichy carrots, Spanish patatas bravas and chocolate churros, Italian lasagne and butternut squash risotto, and Japanese miso mackerel fillet.
