OQ Diane Maclean unveils her stunning ‘Sky Circles’ sculpture at Queenswood
Thursday 18 November 2021
It was a very special day for Queenswood and the Art Department on Thursday 18 November as we welcomed back OQ Diane Maclean, the internationally renowned sculptor and environmental artist, for the official unveiling of 'Sky Circles' on Read Court.
This striking creation, composed of interlocking circles of polished stainless steel, was originally created for a solo exhibition at Salisbury Cathedral, and makes a perfect companion piece for 'Blue Above', the mobile sculpture that hangs in the ABC building.

Our Art Scholars and Award Holders also participated in an online interactive workshop with Diane after school. You can enjoy some of the pupils’ responses to ‘Sky Circles’ by scrolling through these images from the queenswoodartschool Instagram feed.
We are immensely grateful to Diane for donating this wonderful work of art, and for giving up her time to inspire the next generation of Queenswood artists.
