On Wednesday 18 October, OQ Zoë Lykourgou (2015) came back to Queenswood to speak to the Upper Sixth. She gave a really insightful talk on what she’d wished she had known in Year 13, having now been through university and in a job doing tech engineering. 

She talked us through both the UCAS application process and university life, including some really interesting methods for revision and surviving exams! I particularly enjoyed her perspective on a growth mindset and how it has helped her own academic journey navigating different careers and job applications.

Listening to an OQ was interesting as it gave us more ideas for what we could do once we have left Queenswood ourselves, whether we choose gap years or postgraduate qualifications in foreign countries. The external speakers programme at Q is so helpful and engaging, and provides Sixth Formers opportunities to listen to a wide array of people and topics.
