Peter Tatchell: Becoming a Changemaker
Friday 15 December 2023
On Wednesday 13 December, Sixth Form students were fortunate to attend in a thought-provoking lecture by human rights activist Peter Tatchell. During the session, he emphasised the significance of ‘active citizenship’ and provided a concise overview of his 50-plus-year advocacy journey across various causes. Notably, he delved into a detailed account of the one-man protest he staged at last year’s football World Cup in Qatar.
Following the lecture, Peter engaged with questions from the audience, covering current events such as the atrocities in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Myanmar.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Peter for generously sharing his valuable insights with us, and look forward to welcoming him again in the future.
