Portraying Pregnancy: From Holbein to Social Media – An Exhibition
Tuesday 4 August 2020
OQ, Karen Hearn’s exhibition at The Foundling Museum in London, “Portraying Pregnancy: From Holbein to Social Media”, is a major exhibition exploring representations of the pregnant female body through portraits over 500 years, which have been brought together for the first time. The Daily Telegraph awarded a 4* rating and described the exhibition as “a moving portrait of women’s bravery”.
The exhibition had to close prematurely in March due to Covid, but the good news is it’s now re-opened with a new closing date of 23rd August. Social distancing measures are in place, and numbers are carefully limited. For current opening hours, and to book in advance online, see ‘Art Tickets’ which can be accessed here.
