MIRIAM GIMÉNEZ, HEAD OF SPANISH

On Wednesday 15 January, pupils studying Spanish in Years 7 to 10 enjoyed a unique and immersive experience with a play performed entirely in Spanish. Primera Cita, presented by Onatti Productions, captivated the students with its engaging storyline and interactive elements.

The play follows two teenagers, Carlos and Maria, as they prepare for their first date, giving the audience a hilarious and heartwarming insight into the anxieties and excitement of young romance. From choosing the perfect outfit to dealing with unexpected mishaps, the relatable and comedic moments had everyone laughing.

Students particularly enjoyed the interactive nature of the performance, with some even taking part in the action. The event not only brought Spanish vocabulary and expressions to life but also inspired students by showing how much they could understand and enjoy in another language.
