Pupil Voice: Food Committee – You Said, We Did!

Once again, the Catering Department have responded to the latest comments and suggestions from pupils about the food at breakfast, break, lunch and supper.


You said:
We’d like berries instead of Melon.
We did:
They will feature more in the summer, but at this moment in time they are out of season and therefore very expensive.


You said:
I like spring rolls, samosas and millionaire shortbread.
We did:
These all feature on the summer menus.

You said:
We’d like more curries.
We did:
There is a curry each week on the summer menus.

You said:
Can we have a gluten-free mushroom sauce?
We did:
We will put it on the pasta bars.

You said:
Can we have pretzels at breakfast?
We did:
They have been added to Monday breakfast.

You said:
We would like sushi.
We did:
Sushi is a very expensive product, so we would not be able to provide it, but we do offer a sushi workshop on some weekends, which you could sign up to and participate in if you would like to.

You said:
Can the pizza toppings be changed?
We did:
We have tried before, but pupils preferred to stick with the favourites. We can try again and see what the response is.

You said:
Can we have cinammon roll more often?
We did:
We already rotate this twice a week; it would mean we have to take off one of the other favourites.

You said:
I would like a smoothie/acai bar at breakfast.
We did:
We have introduced a yoghurt bar on a Wednesday and a smoothie bar on a Friday at breakfast.

You said:
I like pizza twists.
We did:
These are on the new summer break cake menu.


You said:
We’d like panini more often.
We did:
These feature on the summer lunch menus: Tuesday, week 2.

You said:
We’re happy to have macaroni cheese back
We did:
Glad you like it!

You said:
We like tacos and burrito
