In our recent School Council meeting we discussed how the single use plastic water bottles in packed lunches are mostly being wasted as most students have their own water bottles.

As School Council Prefect and Eco Prefect, we discussed how we could make the packed lunches more environmentally friendly by having an option box on the packed lunches request form. The Catering Manager has agreed to this and students will now only get a water bottle if they have requested it.

Our aim is to reduce the number of single use water bottles at our school, but to achieve this we need the student body to rely more on their own reusable water bottles which can be refilled at school, when required.
