Queenswood are Team Leaders for Noah’s Ark Hospice ‘Moments that Matter’ Fundraiser
Friday 6 November 2020
As you may know, Queenswood School supported Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in 2019.
Since then, we have been blown away to hear about the care Noah’s Ark is providing for some of London’s most unwell babies and children during the pandemic. Acutely unwell children have been staying in the charity’s new home, The Ark; as one mother put it, “The Ark is freedom to us”. During this time, The Ark has also been used for compassionate end-of-life care when necessary. The charity has been enabling moments that truly matter for babies and children.
Noah’s Ark is now trying to raise £1.2m in 36 hours, the annual cost of its specialist nurse and carer workforce. From 10am on Sunday 22 November to 10pm on Monday 23 November, Queenswood will be involved with the ‘Moments that Matter’ campaign. It doesn’t bear thinking about the loss of these precious moments for babies and children, if we can’t raise these vital funds.
Every donation on the day will be doubled, thanks to a matched funding pot pledged by a small number of the charity’s benefactors. We will be acting as a ‘Team Leader’ for the campaign, and so we are spreading the word in the hope that you will become as inspired as we are about this vital cause.
On Sunday 22 November we will email parents a link to Queenswood’s giving page. Please take a moment to watch the short video on that page which will showcase the ‘moments that have mattered’ for the children, families and inspirational care staff at Noah’s Ark. If you feel compelled and able to donate, we would be hugely appreciative… it would make a massive difference for children and families facing unimaginable challenges.
