Queenswood Sports Scholars Jess Hurley and Sara Jacob are in superb form as they enter the business end of the athletics season.

On Saturday 18 May, Sara ran second leg in a 4 x 300m relay for her club, Enfield and Haringey, at a Youth Development League event. Together the relay team romped home in 2 minutes 45.9 seconds – over five seconds ahead of the second-placed team and recording the fastest time in the UK so far this season.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 19, Jess finished first in the Hertfordshire county 400m, with a personal best of 59.29 seconds.  She also learned that she is currently ranked 9th in the UK in this event.
