Queenswood athletes make an impression at National Indoor Championships

Queenswood Sports Scholars impressed at the National Indoor Athletics championships on the weekend of 2 and 3 March 2014.
Despite fatigue from representing Queenswood Under 14s in the National Schools Hockey finals on Thursday, Sara Jacobs (Year 9) ran an impressive personal best performance of 2 minutes 16.32 seconds in the Under 15 800m to take the Bronze medal. This maintains Sara’s ranking as 3rd in the UK for the Under 15 800m.
In the sprint events Hannah Williams (Year 11) qualified for the final in both the 200m and the 60m. Despite a personal best performance in both of the events in the heat and semi final, Hannah just missed out on a medal and was placed 4th in the 200m and 7th in the 60m final. Hannah is currently ranked 5th in the UK for 200m and 10th for 60m.
