The Kids’ Lit Quiz is called the ‘Sport of Reading’ and tests students on their knowledge of
classics, poetry and contemporary fiction.  It is an international
competition open to 10 to 13-year-olds. 

Two teams from Queenswood
travelled to Cambridge to take part
in the Eastern Regional Competition in November. The Year 7 team was composed of
Hannah Vischer, Lottie Lunn, Talia Neal and Isabella Marcus. The Year 8
team included Zoe Felton, Kaya Smith, Grace Cruttenden and Madeleine
Perry. 19 teams participated in ten rounds
of ten questions each. The topics ranged from mythology to poetry to
symbols.

The teams worked very well together and had a great time. Particular congratulations to the Year 8 team who placed 3rd overall. Well done to all who took part.
