Queenswood Debaters win through to the next round of the ESU Competition
Friday 2 December 2016
The season of competitive debating got under way on 1 December as Queenswood hosted the first round of the English Speaking Union competition.
Six schools competed in the OQ lecture theatre. Ella Dutton and Aoife Morgan Jones (Upper Sixth) debated against a team from St Albans School. They were opposing the motion ‘This
house would lower the voting age to 16’.
The girls won their debate, and will now progress to the next stage of this prestigious national competition. We would like to congratulate them on this achievement, and we look forward to watching their progress next term.
