Queenswood Fave Saves: Recycling Pays!
Friday 23 September 2022
Going green doesn't have to cost the Earth and many companies will pay you to be more environmentally friendly and recycle your unwanted clothes or toiletry containers.
Here are some suggestions of how to save the planet and your pennies.
H&M £5 off £25
H&M's garment collecting programme is the world’s biggest of its kind, and has been running since 2013. Just take any unwanted clothes or textiles, by any brand and in any condition, to one of their stores. Hand in your bag of old clothes at the cash desk and receive a thank you voucher to use towards your next purchase. Easy!
Once you’ve dropped off your previously loved fashion, H&M sort the contents into three categories - rewear, reuse or recycle and the items are then put to much greener use than going to landfill.
Back to MAC
When you return six used MAC containers to a MAC counter, you can get a free MAC lipstick of your choice (excludes Viva Glam Lipstick and Limited Edition Lipstick). MAC lipsticks usually cost £17.50 each, so if you are a loyal MAC user, it's worth saving your empties!
UNIQLO get down with the down!
If you're in the market for a warm coat, you can get £10 off a down jacket at UNIQLO this winter. Just recycle any down item for example your old puffer jacket and you will receive a discount on your next coat.
Give back and feel good at New Look
Working in partnership with Hospice UK, New Look will give customers 15% off their next shop when donating pre-loved items to a local hospice store. Just take your donations to your nearest store, use your phone to scan the QR code on the store's counter and fill out a quick online form to receive your digital discount voucher.
