We are delighted to report that Queenswood Music Scholar Lily Harwood achieved distinction/first place – twice – at the Ruislip-Northwood Festival on Saturday 4 March.

She scored an outstanding 89 out of 100 for her performance of Bach’s Largo in
the Violin Advanced Solo category. Adjudicator Roger
Crocker described
her playing as ‘profound’. 
She also scored 89/100 with her Tchaikovsky Melodie
in the Violin Solo (17 and Under) category. Again, the adjudicator was extremely impressed, calling it ‘playing of the highest
order.’
