Queenswood String Day 2015 – a Celebration of Ensemble Music-Making
Wednesday 25 November 2015
In association with the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department, Queenswood held its highly popular annual String Day on Sunday 15 November.
The course was a special opportunity for young string players to work with Professors from the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department and members of the major London orchestras. This year, the focus was on orchestral/ensemble string playing.
We were delighted that Julia Jasinski, Professor of Violin/String Orchestra conductor at the Royal Academy of Music, agreed to lead the course, along with Krystyna Budzynska, Associate Director, Junior Academy and Director of Primary Academy, and our own Christos Kokkinos, Assistant Director of Music.
The day of workshops culminated in a packed concert in the Ernest Read Hall.
