Queenswood Tennis Scholars Ema Lazic, Georgie Walker, Olivia and Alexis Peet - U19 and U16 Winners - Harpenden Girls School Doubles May 2015

Queenswood tennis stars showed hugely positive spirit onSaturday 9 May as they competed in the prestigious Harpenden National Girls
Schools Tournament.

Queenswood Tennis Scholars Olivia and Alexis Peet - U16 Winners - Harpenden Girls School Doubles May 2015Our 19 and Under A team of Ema Lazic and Georgie Walker
progressed smoothly through the rounds, eventually winning comfortably against
the Benenden pair, 6-1 6-0. It was a great performance from this outstanding
team, who have now won three years in a row above their age group.

Queenswood players showed great strength in the 16 and Under
competition. Noni Charlton and Rebecca Saunders advanced all the way to the
semi-finals, where they lost to Millfield. The final saw the Peet sisters,
Olivia and Alexis, beat the Millfield team in straight sets, 6-2 7-6 – a
fantastic achievement.

Our performance in the 14 and Under competition was the
strongest for many years. Hannah Kilpatrick and Annabel Richardson competed
well in the two matches they played. Our A team of Arabella Moen and Annabel
Davis battled all the way to the final, where they lost 1-6 2-6 to the Surbiton
pair. It was a great performance from Arabella and Annabel, who show great
potential for the future.

All girls who competed impressed with their effort and
attitude – let’s hope we can build on these successes next year.
