It has been a fantastically successful weekend for Maddy Wray (Year 11), Queenswood Sports Scholar.

She was named as captain of the U16 Saxon Tigers for the England Hockey Futures Cup – in itself a tremendous achievement. Under her leadership, the team battled through to the final on 31 October, where they beat the Mercia Lynx 2-0 to clinch the cup.

“I am really proud of my team,” she commented, “we really worked together. We had some great opposition and there were some really hard games.”
