The South of England Indoor Athletics Championships tookplace last weekend where two Queenswood girls achieved fantastic results.

 

Grace Mee achieved a PB in the hurdles and a silver medal in
high jump.

Sara Jacob came an impressive second place in the 800m behind the number 8 in the UK.
Sara broke the championship record and ran herself into the UK top 20 with
a new personal best of 2.16.35. This is a 3 second improvement on her best
outdoors time set in September last year.

Meanwhile, Hannah Williams competed in 200m and 60m. She won through heats and semis in both events, finishing second in the final of the 200m by 0.09 of a second and 4th in the 60m final by 0.10 of a second. She achieved a PB in both events, which now puts her 11th in the UK for 60m and 6th in the UK for 200m.

Well done to all three athletes, and good luck to Sports Scholar Sara who will compete at the National Indoor Finals in Sheffield on 1st
March (only two days after she plays in the National Hockey finals!)
