Speech Day 2024
Monday 8 July 2024
We rounded off the academic year with a joyful Speech Day prize-giving ceremony on Saturday 6 July.
After a rain-soaked tour of the school, taking in the exhibitions in the Pauline Edgar Library, the Essame Studios and the newly opened Queenswood Archive, drama and dance performances in the Clarissa Farr Theatre and musical items in the Ernest Read Hall, our guests were grateful for the shelter of Queenswood Hall!
Our guest of honour was the Paralympian skier, TEDx speaker and executive coach Anna Turney, who gave an inspirational speech about the enormous challenges she has overcome in her career.
We also heard from James de Sausmarez, Chair of Governors, Principal Jo Cameron, and the outgoing Head Girl, Willow H.
Over 150 prizes were distributed to pupils to mark their outstanding academic, artistic, musical, theatrical, sporting and philanthropic achievements.
We would like to congratulate everyone who was honoured at Speech Day, whether in the prizegiving or in the highlights film shown at the start of the ceremony. It has been a truly exceptional year for Queenswood!
