Summer Success for Queenswood’s Sporting Stars

Friday 13 September 2024

We’re delighted to share news of  some outstanding individual sporting achievements for Queenswood pupils this summer.

Outgoing Tennis Captain Hannah R crowned a sensational season with an appearance at Junior Wimbledon in July. Hannah is now heading to the University of San Diego on a Tennis Scholarship.

Year 9 footballer Izzy M has signed for the MKDons Academy. Izzy will be taking on the challenge of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway U14 South League.

Cricketer Lucienne M (Year 10) continues to represent Middlesex U15G, and amassed some impressive bowling statistics this season. She finished her summer holidays with 5 wickets for 21 runs off 4 overs against Northamptonshire.

Year 11 hockey players Lottie D and Evie K represented Old Loughtonians at the Talent Academy Championship in Nottingham.

Meanwhile Amelia M (Year 10) came third at the Aston le Walls Pony Club Championships in August, achieving the best dressage score of the day.

Many congratulations to these pupils, and to everyone who has participated in sport at any level over the summer holidays.
