There were some truly remarkable performances at Queenswood’s Gold Singing Competition on 18 March. Buoyed by terrific audience support, the entrants each offered two numbers – one from the classical canon and one from a musical theatre production.

Our adjudicator, soprano and Classic FM presenter Catherine Bott, was extremely impressed by the standard of singing, and it will come as no surprise to learn that the decision process was extremely difficult. We would like to congratulate all participants on the standard of performance; the prize winners this year were as follows:
