Bethany Norton (Year 7) excelled at the William Powell Schools Clay Shooting Competition on Wednesday 1 May.

The team she shot with came first in the Juniors category, with a score of 189 out of 240, but were sadly ineligible for the prize as the team members were not all from the same school. Nonetheless, it was a great experience for her and she shot very well.
Meanwhile, at the Schools Challenge competition in April, she finished in 4th place in the U21s category with a score of 43/50 score.
The Schools Challenge have invited Bethany to join their academy of young elite shooters to develop her further. To put this in context, Amber Hill started shooting with TSC in 2005 and she now represents GB in Olympic Skeet.
This is a fantastic achievement for Bethany as she only started shooting 14 months ago and has only been training intensively for the last seven weeks.
