What a way to start 2022! Jessica M (Year 12) has enjoyed an incredibly successful January, with an amazing opportunity to compete at her very first women’s professional tournament.

Last week Jessica competed in both the Singles and Doubles of the W25k ITF World Tour held at Bath University. She displayed impressive tennis skills against some of the world’s top 300 ranked players.

During the doubles event, Jessica and her partner convincingly won in straight sets, propelling them into the quarter finals.

They enjoyed a fantastic start to their quarter-final match but, after a long battle, lost to the overall winners.

She thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining an invaluable insight into the professional tour, and hopes to build on this superb performance throughout the year.
