Queenswood's finest singers gave some terrific performances at the Gold Singing Competition on Wednesday 6 February.

As ever, each competitor had to prepare two songs, one from the classical repertoire and one from a musical theatre piece. They also had the opportunity to attend a masterclass with Michael McLean.

The standard was highly impressive, and our adjudicator, West End star Stephen Hill, was faced with a difficult decision.

The results were as follows:

• Highly commended: Bibi Jaafar

• Best Musical Theatre Song: Sophie Judge

• Best Classical Song: Anna Rayson
